About Us

Welcome to our family business TREASURED MEMORIES in Cody, WY, established in 2009.

The dream for Treasured Memories started 34 years ago with the union of Dan and Sandy Gray... ”we met working in a camera store in 1983 and were married in 1984 in Baltimore, Maryland.”

This history timeline may give you some understanding of the experience you are getting from the team of Dan and Sandy Gray.

We both started our management photo retail career at Zepp Photo and Camera Shop, Inc in Baltimore, Maryland in the early eighties.

In 1985, we packed up and moved from our home in Baltimore, Maryland to New Jersey. Dan had accepted a position as Technical Representative with Yashica Contax in New Jersey. He traveled the United States and even Japan working with Research and Development and educating consumers with the camera features. Sandy worked as a school portrait and high school reunion photographer.

With our common love of photography, we began taking pictures at friend’s weddings, special events, and family portraits. We took the name “Moments to Remember” in 1987 and set up a studio in our home in Flemington, New Jersey.

In 1994, we moved to a bigger home in Bridgewater, N.J. so we could have a complete studio, darkroom, and separate custom framing room. Dan worked for several companies over the years including Leica, Durst, Sinar Bron, Mamiya, and two retail businesses while Sandy worked in the real estate and travel industry. All along, continuing their small business photographing family events and framing images for the best presentation.

We purchased One Stop Photo and One Stop Framing in Hillsborough, NJ in 2003. Dan took overall operations of the retail business and we renamed the store Gray’s Family Foto to represent our very diverse services that help local families. We offered film and digital developing, portrait studio, scrapbooking and custom framing.

In 2009, we sold Gray's Family Foto in New Jersey and moved to Cody, WY where we opened a new retail business called Treasured Memories where we offer Custom Framing, Scrapbooking. Taking our love for photos we expanded in 2012 with Personalized gifts and moved into a more visible downtown location in 2013. Sandy has been a Cody Chamber Ambassador since 2009 and held a chair appointments for two years and Dan has been on the Community Concert board since 2010 and served on the Chamber board.

Sandy studied art and photography in college. She is a Scrapbooking Instructor certified by EK Success and Custom Framing certified by Larsen Juhl. She has 18 years of experience with American Express travel and card divisions making travel reservations, creating business proposals utilizing with desktop publishing and international website administration.

Dan has a degree in Photography from Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA and is a well versed and highly experienced educator and custom framer.
